According to QS World University Rankings by Subject 2019, two Irish Universities have 12 subjects in the world top 50. The latest subject rankings were declared for more than 1200 world universities, based on four major criterias including reputation with employers and academics and research citations. All eight Irish universities were included in the league tables and were evaluated in 48 subject areas. Both UCD and TCD have six subject departments each in the top 50 list.
