University of Limerick increases in popularity with international students

The University of Limerick in Ireland is becoming increasingly popular with international students as the number joining rose again for 2018/19, now totally 3,000. With international students from more than 100 countries of the world joining Limerick for various research, postgraduate, undergraduate and foundation programmes, UL is consistently enhancing its reputation as a world class education provider globally. International students also join the University of Limerick under the Erasmus Exchange and Study Abroad programmes.

A growth of more than 190% over the last 7 seven years has also injected funds to the region, which has exceeded €21 million in the current year, providing a boost to the economy. Limerick is a truly global university with 451 university partnerships in 66 countries. According to Josephine Page, director International Education Division, UL, “International students create important cultural, diplomatic and economic links between Limerick and the world.  By attracting international talent, University of Limerick ensures a culturally-rich setting for domestic students to prepare for the global work environment”.
