Trinity’s new initiative Tangent to award Certificates in Innovation and Entrepreneurship - the first of its kind in Ireland.

Trinity College Dublin recently launched its new initiative to promote Innovation and Entrepreneurship called Tangent, Trinity’s Ideas Workspace. Through this initiative Trinity College Dublin has rolled out the first of its kind undergraduate and postgraduate certificate programmes in Ireland for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Such courses along with early stage business support and acceleration programmes by Tangent will not only help mentor students and young entrepreneurs to meet the challenges of true-life innovation but also provide them experiential learning opportunities to help them thrive in a constantly changing business environment.

Tangent aims at driving innovation led economic growth in Ireland supported by the Bank of Ireland, Business Incubation Centres, Higher Education Authority and Local Enterprise Offices. Together these will help TCD impart innovation and entrepreneurship education, organise entrepreneurship community events and provide startup acceleration support to projects across Europe.

Trinity College Dublin has been ranked No. #1 by Pitchbook 18/19 for graduate entrepreneurship in Europe. Tangent is also a part of Trinity’s Innovation strategy for developing the European innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
