University College Dublin Ranked #1 in Ireland for Graduate Employability

UCD has once again claimed the top spot in Ireland following the publication of the 2019 Graduate Employability Rankings. The prestigious QS World University Rankings 2019 has placed Ireland’s top university, University College Dublin at 74th in the world for Graduate Employability with an improvement of one place compared to 75th in 2018. The University is also the most preferred in Ireland among employers looking to hire university graduates, having built great employer reputation within Ireland and the world. For the Graduate Employability Rankings, QS has also taken into consideration work-placement partnerships and researcher partnerships forged by UCD over the years.

Professor Andrew Deeks, the President of UCD said, “We invest considerable resources to ensure our educational curriculum includes transferable skills that our graduates take forward into their working careers.  Equally, I cannot overstate the enormous value for our students to be taught by academics with excellent research profiles”. He further stated that students from Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences programmes at UCD may also now integrate employment experiences as part of their degrees through internships with multiple industry and research partners of UCD. Traditionally students of STEM, agriculture and healthcare subjects only could take up internships as part of their degrees.
