Founded in 1845, University College Cork (UCC) is part of the three Queen's Colleges. The University has been named Irish University of the Year five times. UCC offers over 120 degrees in Humanities, Business, Law, Architecture, Science, Food and Nutritional Sciences, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Clinical Therapies, with over 20,000 students currently enrolled.

Cork offers a world-class student experience with the highest quality teaching, learning and research via exceptional UCC courses. Students are encouraged to challenge ideas in a community environment offering top-quality pastoral care.

UCC's acceptance rate is 41%, and many UCC degrees also provide placements with top national and international companies.

UCC provides campus accommodation to students through a random lottery. To accept a room, one should send a confirmation and deposit amount within the first week after the allocation announcement. For students who stay off-campus, UCC offers a search engine where students can find registered landlords.

Lodgings are usually available for €110 to €140 per person per week, with a deposit depending on the owner’s demands. Generally, electricity, internet, and meals are included in the rent.

About Location

Situated in the heart of the serene city of Cork, UCC is connected to Dublin, Limerick, and Waterford by high-speed trains. The city is small enough to walk around but big enough to explore. It is easy for students to go to and from the University through various public transport, and local sights such as the Blarney Castle and Fota Wildlife Park are also nearby.

"My consultant was very helpful and motivating. She helped me every step of the way, even when the deadline was so close. I could not have done it without her. I'd recommend this service to anyone interested in taking the stress out of applying alone."
